Principal Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Remote; hiring in Latin America. Occasional travel is required to collaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and regional hubs.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor an engineering team through code reviews, technical guidance, best practices, and removal of technical blockers.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and technical guidelines.
• Architect and scale high-performance Digital Menu Board features and services for enterprise QSR clients.
• Own internationalization strategy for regional, language, and localization requirements.
• Partner with DevOps, Product Management, and executive stakeholders on technical roadmaps, cloud deployments, and scalability.
• Identify and remediate architectural bottlenecks affecting performance, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 15 years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale web applications.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams, managing deliverables, mentoring engineers, and aligning technical execution with business goals.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, object-oriented programming, NestJS, and Express.
• Strong architectural knowledge of at least one modern frontend framework: Angular, React, or Svelte.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing internationalization frameworks, dependency injection patterns, and cloud-based infrastructure for distributed applications.
• Availability to travel occasionally for client, stakeholder, and regional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with AWS and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building, extending, or scaling global Content Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Digital Signage platforms, IoT devices, or restaurant technology solutions.
