What you will do

• Design and implement security improvements side-by-side with peer engineering teams.
• Engineer large business-critical systems, contributing directly through code rather than advice.
• Develop maintainable solutions that strengthen security while respecting performance and reliability constraints.
• Take ownership of security initiatives from root-cause analysis through release and validation.
• Identify recurring vulnerabilities to drive longer-term improvements across systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to make sound technical decisions through evidence and iteration.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and maintaining production software in complex environments using Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Solid grasp of application and infrastructure security and common real-world failure modes.
• Ability to ramp up quickly on new platforms, languages, and architectures.
• Hands-on experience remediating security issues in live production systems.
• Strong technical judgement to balance risk, delivery timelines, performance, and stability.
• Must be based in the London Area, UK for hybrid work.
