What you will do

• Perform hands-on security testing and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities.
• Lead threat modelling sessions for new features and system architectures.
• Build and tune security tooling for SAST, SCA, DAST, and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed secure development practices across the SDLC.
• Drive remediation of security issues and improve detection coverage.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats to continuously strengthen the platform's security posture.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Several years of experience in application or product security with a background in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and modern attack paths like SSRF, injection, and business logic abuse.
• Hands-on security testing experience, particularly with Burp Suite.
• Proficiency in Python for security tooling and automation.
• Experience implementing and tuning security scanning tools in CI/CD environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Django, Vue.js, MongoDB, and GCP.
• Background in supply chain security, SBOMs, or IaC security (Terraform).
• Hands-on certifications such as OSCP, GWAPT, or BSCP.
• Experience with security champions or bug bounty programs.
