Lead Go Developer (Go/iGaming): Leading the design and development of high-performance backend services with an accent on system scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Focus on designing large-scale distributed systems, optimizing database performance under high load, and mentoring engineering teams.

Location: Remote (Must be based in Czechia or Serbia)

What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of high-performance backend services written in Go.
  • Drive architectural decisions to ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and foster engineering excellence.
  • Build and maintain robust monitoring and observability systems for production environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to align engineering solutions with business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex production incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience with Go as the primary programming language.
  • Strong expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture for high-load production environments.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining production monitoring systems.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MySQL, including clustering, replication, failover, and indexing for terabytes of data.
  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and memory management.
  • Broad technical knowledge of Linux, networking, and virtualization for incident troubleshooting.
