TL;DR

Technical Support Specialist L2 (Linux/K8s): Providing second-level technical support and restoring services for European electricity transmission system operators with an accent on advanced diagnostics across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers. Focus on root-cause analysis, improving observability, and ensuring service recovery within SLA targets.

Location: Hybrid (Germany). Must be based in or relocate to Germany.

What you will do

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting using logs, metrics, traces, and database queries to restore service.
  • Own complex incidents, conduct deep root-cause analysis, and implement temporary mitigations.
  • Contribute to post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to reduce noise and enhance stability.
  • Support production changes, hotfixes, and configuration updates within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and architecture teams to ensure production readiness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in SLA-driven service operations or production support environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux, networking, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog/New Relic, ELK).
  • Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Software engineering background (Java, Python) and exposure to IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
  • English: Very good communication skills (B2+) required.
