Staff GenAI Engineer - Application Performance Monitoring (APM) (AI)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $234,000 USD per year, plus equity and possible variable compensation

What you will do

• Lead GenAI and machine learning initiatives within the Application Performance Monitoring organization from concept through production.
• Design, build, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy GenAI/ML models at scale.
• Develop automated investigation and incident-triage tools using agentic workflows.
• Benchmark models using state-of-the-art techniques and influence product direction with a strong product mindset.
• Provide technical direction through ambiguity, evolving requirements, and scaling challenges.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to design reviews, technical talks, and engineering working groups.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience and experience acting as a technical lead.
• Proven experience leading large-scale GenAI/ML initiatives in a product-driven environment.
• Significant experience with model deployment, development, training, fine-tuning, or evaluation.
• BS, MS, PhD in a scientific field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to drive initiatives across cross-functional teams and solve ambiguous challenges.
