Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Engineer 2 (AI/ML)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. Onsite role requiring current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph; candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms for business challenges.
• Select suitable datasets and data or knowledge representation methods, then perform statistical analysis.
• Run, train, and retrain machine learning systems using relevant libraries and packages.
• Conduct standard testing and evaluation protocols through iterative design processes.
• Provide system integration oversight and transform data science prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Verify data and model output quality and identify distribution differences affecting model performance.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• At least five years of experience deploying machine learning algorithms.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in advanced mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning.
• Five additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree may substitute for a master’s degree.
• Demonstrated software engineering and AI/ML model testing and evaluation abilities.
