TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer II (Payments): Designing and running highly critical, production-grade payment infrastructure to maximize authorization rates for merchants with an accent on resilient architecture and technical complexity. Focus on building payment products from scratch, optimizing high-availability systems, and solving deep production challenges.

Location: Hybrid (Tel Aviv, Israel). Must be based near the hub and work from the office at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Build and enhance payment products, creating new systems from scratch and integrating existing ones.
• Design and implement resilient, production-grade infrastructure capable of handling critical workloads.
• Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across the company to shape product features.
• Work across a diverse tech stack to deliver maximum value to clients.
• Collaborate closely with customers to translate their needs into impactful payment solutions.
• Mentor fellow engineers and diagnose complex production issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software systems.
• 6+ years of backend experience with a strong focus on production-grade systems.
• 1+ years of JavaScript experience.
• Hands-on experience with high availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Professional-level spoken and written English.
• Based in or near Tel Aviv to support a hybrid work model (3+ days in office).

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with Node.js.
• Previous experience in payment companies or specific payment projects.
• Experience building Enterprise-grade SaaS products.
• Frontend, React, or Mobile development experience.
• Significant experience with MySQL, Redis, or ElasticSearch.
