What you will do

• Own cross-cutting frontend concerns across the Confluent Cloud UI that don’t fit within a single product team.
• Architect and build shared frameworks, templates, and patterns used by other product teams.
• Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver complex technical projects end-to-end.
• Collaborate across the stack on API contracts, platform patterns, and performance tradeoffs.
• Drive technical improvements across performance, code quality, observability, and testing.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, scaling, and supporting frontend systems in production, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (ES6+), with hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, plus unit/integration testing.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) with strong engineering judgment and code quality standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and observability/shipping tools such as Semaphore CI, LaunchDarkly, Grafana, and Amplitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
