System Engineer (Defense)

TL;DR

System Engineer (Defense): Supporting systems and system-of-systems engineering efforts across complex technical environments with an accent on architecture design, integration, and certification activities. Focus on analyzing data from disparate sources, developing technical documentation, and supporting mission-critical defense programs.

Location: Must be based in the US and hold or be able to obtain an active U.S. national security clearance. Role is Remote/Hybrid.

What you will do

• Conduct systems and system-of-systems architecture design, integration, testing, and certification.
• Perform technical requirements definition and allocation across multiple stakeholders.
• Analyze data from disparate sources to identify trends and support operational decision-making.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans and reports.
• Support administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of operating systems and virtualized environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute engineering and technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain an active U.S. national security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5–8 years of relevant systems engineering or technical integration experience.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tactical Data Links (TDL) and Command and Control (C2) software.
• Experience with VMware and virtualized environments.
• Experience as a systems administrator.
• Experience supporting government or defense programs.
• Experience with COMSEC-related processes and equipment.
