What you will do

• Produce and manage overall content for newscasts across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Write news scripts, teases, and headlines while editing video content.
• Execute live shots and coordinate with anchors during live broadcasts.
• Respond to breaking news with accuracy and urgency.
• Create and publish content for websites, podcasts, and YouTube channels.
• Collaborate with reporters on daily stories and participate in editorial meetings.

Requirements

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work at the station in San Diego
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a broadcast line producer or digital producer.
• At least 1 year of prior news editing experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar editing software.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AP style writing and guidelines.

Nice to have

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience in editing video for web, social media, and TV.
• Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations regarding libel and slander.
