Senior Software Engineer II (MacOS Sensor)

Location: Must be based in or near Sunnyvale, CA, Redmond, WA, New York City, NY, or Austin, TX with an expectation of approximately two days per week in-office.

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop core features for the macOS sensor, including file system, memory, and networking subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-platform teams to ensure shared component consistency across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Own the full feature lifecycle from initial architecture and design to final delivery and demonstration.
• Debug complex issues such as memory corruption, process contentions, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams to foster engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Swift and C/C++.
• Extensive understanding of macOS internals and security frameworks.
• Proven experience in debugging system-level performance issues and memory corruption.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed team.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
