What you will do

• Lead CNBC’s newsroom-wide coverage of the Federal Reserve, economic policy, and the broader U.S. economy.
• Set daily and long-term editorial priorities to ensure distinctive and timely reporting on major economic stories.
• Edit and shape breaking news, analysis, explainers, and exclusive sourced reporting.
• Identify major storylines early and develop strategic coverage plans for maximum audience impact.
• Collaborate with politics, policy, and markets teams to deliver coordinated, authoritative journalism.
• Promote innovative storytelling across digital, television, and social platforms.

Requirements

• Significant editing experience in a major newsroom with proven leadership responsibility.
• Deep subject-matter expertise in the Federal Reserve, U.S. economic policy, and macroeconomic trends.
• Track record of managing breaking news, analytical coverage, and enterprise projects.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States is required.
