What you will do

• Analyze newly discovered malware samples and produce detailed technical descriptions.
• Perform deep-dive reverse engineering to uncover how malware functions and its intended aim.
• Develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in malicious code analysis.
• Research malicious operations and track their functions.
• Utilize both internal proprietary tools and industry-standard software for research.
• Collaborate with the VirusLab team to improve detection methods and security standards.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of malicious code analysis and reverse engineering.
• Ability to work with advanced sets of malware files.
• Commitment to studying security literature and complying with security standards.
• Must be based in Bratislava for onsite work.
• Availability for a limited-time contract of 4 months.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tools like IDA Pro, OllyDbg, WinDbg, or Wireshark.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Experience with YARA, MISP, or SysInternals tools.
• Experience using VirusTotal for threat intelligence.
