TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain, and extend simulation environments for autonomous and unmanned systems.
  • Build physics-based simulation frameworks for robotics and aerospace validation.
  • Design realistic scenarios for navigation, control, perception, and mission-level behavior.
  • Develop and maintain SITL and HITL test setups for embedded systems and autonomy software.
  • Integrate simulation environments with ROS2-based autonomy stacks.
  • Collaborate with autonomy, embedded, and robotics engineers to align simulations with real-world operational needs.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Deep understanding of physics, classical mechanics, and system dynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with physics engines and simulation frameworks.
  • Experience with SITL/HITL testing and ROS2-based systems.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based development environments.
  • Must be based in Berlin.

Nice to have

  • Degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Omniverse, Gazebo, PX4 SITL, or ArduPilot SITL.
  • Background in rigid body dynamics, flight dynamics, or control theory.
  • Experience with GPU-accelerated simulation and synthetic data generation.
  • Knowledge of sensor modeling for EO, IR, IMU, GNSS, lidar, or radar.
