What you will do

• Conduct and document rigorous exploratory data analyses of potential source datasets.
• Collaborate with incident-response, threat-intel, and product teams to detect evolving threats.
• Formulate, build, and document proofs-of-concept for new threat detection techniques.
• Engineer scalable, production-ready software for proven AI-driven detection methods.
• Maintain AI-driven capabilities for security operations and platform defense.
• Communicate technical proposals and requirements to stakeholders via presentations.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Bellevue (WA), Mclean (VA), or San Francisco (CA)
• 4+ years of experience in a related field, or 2+ years with a Master's degree in a technical field.
• Strong fundamentals in applied statistics and probability.
• Proven experience delivering advanced data mining or machine learning techniques as a lead or sole contributor.
• Proficiency in programming with Java, Python, or Scala.
• Experience executing applied-research projects from formulation to production implementation.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of cybersecurity, including threat propagation and signal correlation.
• Experience applying AI/big-data to anomaly detection and behavior-based analysis.
• Experience in pattern recognition domains such as genomics or high-speed trading.
