Описание вакансии
TL;DR
Communications Engineer (Embedded/RF): Designing and implementing resilient, low-probability-of-intercept communication links for autonomous drone fleets with an accent on RF hardware integration and high-performance software stacks. Focus on developing anti-jamming techniques, FHSS, and real-time C++ implementations for contested electromagnetic environments.
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Company
is a defence technology company redefining how autonomous and electronic warfare systems are engineered and deployed for NATO forces.
What you will do
- Design and implement the complete communication software stack for unmanned systems, from physical layer waveform manipulation to network layer routing.
- Develop and integrate anti-jamming techniques, frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS), and low-probability-of-detection (LPD) protocols.
- Architect high-reliability data links tailored for small-form-factor UAS operating in contested airspace.
- Write high-performance, real-time C++ code for high-speed data transmission and error correction algorithms (FEC).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to select and tune front-end components for the physical RF environment.
- Research and implement adaptive filtering and cognitive radio techniques to bypass electronic countermeasures.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and deep understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, and Linux networking.
- Professional background in Electronics Engineering with a focus on communication systems and DSP.
- Practical experience with the OSI model as applied to radio-based mesh networks and point-to-point links.
- Deep understanding of digital modulation schemes (OFDM, DSSS, GFSK) and RF propagation physics.
- Ability to debug complex timing issues and signal degradation at the hardware/software boundary.
Nice to have
- Experience building long-range, encrypted data links for robotic platforms.
- Experience with USRP, LimeSDR, and GNU Radio.
- Background in military-grade communication standards (Link 16, MANET) or secure satellite communications.
- Strong mathematical grounding in channel capacity, noise floors, and SINR optimisation.
- Knowledge of MIMO antenna systems, beam-forming, or AI/ML for cognitive radio.
Culture & Benefits
- Opportunity to work on high-performance systems providing decisive advantages to NATO forces.
- Environment grounded in precision, responsibility, and uncompromising engineering discipline.
- Full-stack role bridging the gap between low-level RF hardware and high-level software networking.
- Permanent employment based in Stockholm.
