Senior Software Engineer (Backend/iGaming): Building and maintaining scalable software solutions for B2C and B2B gaming platforms with an accent on high-load systems, event-driven architecture, and security. Focus on designing complex software systems, optimizing performance using Kafka and PostgreSQL, and driving architectural improvements.
Location: Tallinn, Estonia (Hybrid). Candidates must be based in the EU and eligible to work in Estonia.
Salary: 5500€–6500€ gross per month

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, and secure software systems with minimal oversight.
- Solve critical business and technical problems to ensure reliability and performance at scale.
- Drive architectural discussions and implement large-scale technical changes.
- Own the development lifecycle, including security practices, dependency upgrades, and codebase health.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers to foster growth and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in designing and delivering large-scale software solutions.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language, preferably JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on expertise in Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.
- Solid knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to secure and maintain a gaming license (includes criminal/credit checks and fingerprints).
