TL;DR
Desk Editor (STM): Managing the end-to-end submission and peer review process for academic manuscripts with an accent on publication ethics and author services. Location: Beijing, China. Must have the right to work and live in China and be within commutable distance to the Beijing office (hybrid model: 3+ days per week in-person).

What you will do
- Take responsibility for end-to-end submission and peer review processes with prompt in-house processing of manuscripts.
- Ensure the highest levels of publication ethics and integrity standards are maintained across journals.
- Provide professional, timely, and friendly communication to authors as part of a strong service mentality.
- Collaborate with Publishers and Commissioning Editors to support overall journal development and growth.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in Science, Technology, and Medicine (STM) academic publishing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Deep understanding of gold standards in academic research and publication ethics and integrity.
- Confidence in evaluating the scientific rigor and integrity of manuscripts.
- Ability to build and manage professional relationships with authors, peer reviewers, and editors.
- Must have the legal right to work and live in China.
