Entry-level Civil Engineer - Site Design/Municipal

Location: Grand Island, Kearney, Norfolk, or South Sioux City, Nebraska, United States; may require travel to project sites in various terrain and weather conditions.

What you will do

• Assist with civil engineering design for mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports, school, and other site development projects.
• Produce entry-level plans and CAD drawings using established engineering methods.
• Instruct drafters on preparing design drawings and develop project schedules with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform technical engineering calculations, research, and technical report preparation.
• Travel to construction sites for observation and work in varied terrain and weather conditions.
• Provide routine guidance to student interns when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively on a team.
• Ability to obtain EI/EIT certification.
• Ability to contribute to projects under direct supervision and follow clearly defined technical instructions.

Nice to have

• Prior AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
