TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (Developer Tools): Developing the next generation of developer tools and ecosystem for hirify.global's product range with an accent on API design, SDKs, and AI-driven development workflows. Focus on bridging the gap between core engines and developers, implementing AI agent skills, and optimizing developer experience (DX).

Location: Remote - Must be based in Bulgaria or Poland

What you will do

Take ownership of core products in the hirify.global developer tools portfolio, leading development and testing using AI coding agents.
Implement APIs, SDKs, and AI agent skills to streamline the building process on hirify.global.
Ensure seamless integration with modern AI-driven development workflows, IDEs, and CI/CD pipelines.
Develop and refine management interfaces for DBAs and developers, ensuring high performance and intuitive UX.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly integrated solutions for developers and DBAs.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in software engineering and product ownership in developer tools, databases, or IaaS.
Mastery of C, Python, or Go coding and large-scale project management.
Deep familiarity with hirify.global Server or MySQL ecosystems.
Experience with high-availability and scaling tools like MaxScale or in-memory platforms like GridGain.
Proficiency in C++, Python, and TypeScript.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-provider DBaaS offerings.

Nice to have

Strong experience in using agentic coding tools for refactoring and feature implementation.
Understanding of Open Source dynamics and building community-driven tools.
