What you will do

• Design, build, and ship high-quality software across the product and platform.
• Act as the technical anchor for the US engineering team, driving execution and decision-making.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide actionable feedback to elevate engineering standards.
• Guide engineers through complex architecture, implementation, and system design challenges.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Senior Engineer.
• Strong expertise in software architecture and system design.
• Proven ability to influence technical outcomes without formal management authority.
• Must be based in New York City to support a hybrid work model.

• Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
• Background in building scalable backend systems and developer infrastructure.
• Experience working across distributed engineering organizations.
