What you will do

• Define and implement the strategic editorial vision to enhance the journal's global reputation and impact.
• Build and nurture relationships with the Editorial Board, funding bodies, and key opinion leaders in the scientific community.
• Oversee scientific quality, editorial integrity, and the implementation of rigorous peer review processes.
• Represent the journal at scientific conferences and industry events to advocate for open access principles.
• Lead, mentor, and recruit a diverse, high-performing editorial team.
• Monitor research trends and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in editorial workflows.

Requirements

• Right to work and live in the United Kingdom is mandatory.
• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred.
• Significant experience in senior editorial roles within scientific publishing.
• Extensive knowledge of open access models, publication ethics, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership and building stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
