Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to a commutable distance of Milton Park, Oxfordshire, UK. Expectation of minimum 3 days per week in-person at the office.

What you will do
- Define and implement the strategic editorial vision to enhance the journal's global reputation and impact.
- Build and nurture relationships with the Editorial Board, funding bodies, and key opinion leaders in the scientific community.
- Oversee scientific quality, editorial integrity, and the implementation of rigorous peer review processes.
- Represent the journal at scientific conferences and industry events to advocate for open access principles.
- Lead, mentor, and recruit a diverse, high-performing editorial team.
- Monitor research trends and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in editorial workflows.
Requirements
- Right to work and live in the United Kingdom is mandatory.
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred.
- Significant experience in senior editorial roles within scientific publishing.
- Extensive knowledge of open access models, publication ethics, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership and building stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
