Location: Must be based in New York City (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 remote)

Salary: $26.50–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Teach rigorous ESL classes for immigrants and refugees using interactive, learner-centered strategies.
• Document student attendance and progress according to funder requirements.
• Conduct intake, registration, and language assessments using Best Plus 3.0.
• Supervise ESL Assistant Interns and conduct participant outreach.
• Collaborate with the Adult Education Supervisor to optimize client support and track progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and TESOL certificate (highly desirable) or 2+ years of experience teaching ESL to adults.
• Must be based in or be willing to work from the New York City office.
• Fluency in English language required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice to have

• Second language proficiency in Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, Russian, or French.
