Communications Assistant (Research)

Communications Assistant (Research): Developing and maintaining communications materials and translating technical research concepts into compelling narratives with an accent on community-centered storytelling and strategic messaging. Location: Must be based in the United States (U.S.). Work can be remote or from a U.S. office location (excluding U.S. territories).

Salary: $30 - $37 per hour

What you will do

• Support the implementation of the project’s communications strategy and align messaging across technical and research activities.
• Develop content including blogs, briefs, talking points, and data stories.
• Create community-centered narratives highlighting implementation progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with evaluation, technical assistance, and project management teams to identify communication opportunities.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure culturally responsive and accurate communications.
• Assist in the dissemination of project products across internal and external channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public policy, education, or a related field.
• Experience developing communications products for complex research or education projects.
• Strong writing and editing skills for diverse audiences.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B) is not available.
