What you will do

• Run and maintain editorial tools on incoming book manuscripts to ensure quality output.
• Review manuscripts to ensure they meet established quality criteria.
• Collaborate with the Content Team to support and refine editorial processes.
• Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for improving existing editing tools.
• Perform quick-turnaround copyedits, line edits, proofreading, and beta-reading.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US and available for meetings on San Francisco hours.
• Language: Native English proficiency required.
• Experience: 3 years of professional editing experience, including 1 year in fiction.
• Excellent copyediting skills and basic quantitative reasoning abilities.
• Keen interest in utilizing AI to assist in editorial processes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Romance genres, including Paranormal, Contemporary, and Erotica.
• Experience with AI models and excitement about exploring new implementations.
• Living in or near San Francisco.
