What you will do

• Build and evolve mission-critical commercialization tools and systems.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineering teams across sites to develop internal user-facing products.
• Work on cross-cutting technical problems involving mobile apps, cloud backends, and the Waymo Driver.
• Deliver business-critical infrastructure through cross-functional collaboration with operations, legal, and policy teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mobile development with modern Android application development.
• Experience in backend development using Java, Kotlin, C++, or Go.
• Experience using AI tools for day-to-day development.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple sites.

Nice to have

• Experience building data visualization or data management applications.
• Experience collaborating with UX and Interaction design.
• Knowledge of engineering artifacts, reliability monitoring, security practices, and integration testing.
