TL;DR

Fullstack Developer (Java/NodeJS): Building and maintaining a cloud-based healthcare dashboard for processing EDI transactions with an accent on API design and data integration. Focus on developing robust RESTful APIs, ensuring data accuracy for clinical users, and maintaining high-performance services on AWS.

Location: 100% U.S. based remote position. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Candidates from CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA will not be considered.

Salary: $85,389 - $116,975

What you will do

  • Build and migrate cloud-based web dashboards for processing healthcare EDI transactions.
  • Design and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and NodeJS to serve healthcare records.
  • Integrate front-end Angular components with back-end services and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to define API contracts and ensure data reliability.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and system performance.
  • Monitor and support production services deployed on AWS.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus.
  • Proven experience with Java, NodeJS, and Angular.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
  • Strong understanding of structured healthcare data and EDI transactions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with medical claims (X.12 standards).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG 2.1).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, ECS, or EKS.
  • Experience with C#/.Net for cross-team integration.
