What you will do

• Build and maintain features across transfer journeys using React and AWS serverless backends.
• Develop AWS Lambda BFF layers and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or SST.
• Own technical issues end-to-end, from initial investigation through to production deployment.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, bugs, and opportunities for system improvement.
• Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes via GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with product owners and platform teams to deliver against business requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and SNS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or SST).
• Ability to design RESTful APIs and implement middleware patterns for Lambda handlers.
• Strong testing mindset with experience in unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, MSW).
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TanStack Query, and Vite.
• Proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Experience in the financial services domain.
• Knowledge of SST v2, feature flagging tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly), and contract testing (Pact).
