TL;DR
Software Engineer - Transfers (Fullstack): Developing and maintaining transfer applications using React frontends and AWS serverless backends with an accent on serverless architecture and API design. What you will do
- Build and maintain features across transfer journeys using React and AWS serverless backends.
- Develop AWS Lambda BFF layers and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or SST.
- Own technical issues end-to-end, from initial investigation through to production deployment.
- Identify and resolve technical debt, bugs, and opportunities for system improvement.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes via GitLab CI.
- Collaborate with product owners and platform teams to deliver against business requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and SNS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or SST).
- Ability to design RESTful APIs and implement middleware patterns for Lambda handlers.
- Strong testing mindset with experience in unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, MSW).
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with React, TanStack Query, and Vite.
- Proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Experience in the financial services domain.
- Knowledge of SST v2, feature flagging tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly), and contract testing (Pact).
