What you will do

• Design scalable, flexible, and robust architectures for 0-1 new ventures to support future growth.
• Build rapid prototypes and technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate feasibility and accelerate time-to-market.
• Lead the approval processes for venture technology, data, and security choices.
• Collaborate with Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs), product managers, and developers to create technical blueprints.
• Evaluate and select modern tech stacks, third-party tools, and cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee the handover of development and maintenance to relevant business teams after the Accelerate phase.

Requirements

• Proven track record of designing modern, cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deep understanding of microservices and API-first design principles.
• Experience with lean startup methodologies, rapid prototyping, and iterative development.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders in a structured manner.
• Must be based in the UK (London, Solihull, or Nottingham).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI/ML, Digital Twins, and other emerging technologies.
• Understanding of the technology landscape within the Energy Sector.
• Experience working with external digital solution suppliers.
