What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of AI-driven diagnostic and prognostic algorithms for embedded BMS platforms.
  • Architect hybrid models combining battery cell chemistry, impedance diagnostics, and AI/ML approaches.
  • Develop real-time algorithms for SoC, SoH, SoP, and safety-critical fault detection.
  • Deploy and optimize models on embedded platforms using C/C++ and AUTOSAR.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and automotive OEM standards.
  • Define technical roadmaps and mentor cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in BMS or battery systems within an automotive environment.
  • Deep expertise in battery cell chemistry, electrochemical behavior, and impedance spectroscopy.
  • Proven experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python for algorithm development.
  • Hands-on experience with NXP AI toolchains and automotive MCU platforms like S32K/S32G.
  • Strong understanding of real-time, resource-constrained systems and edge AI optimization.

Nice to have

  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for model development.
  • Deep knowledge of thermal runaway precursors and advanced safety prediction.
  • Background in Tier-1 automotive supplier environments.
