TL;DR
Software Engineer (AI): Designing and optimizing software for inference-focused AI chips, from low-level drivers and APIs to high-level applications and frameworks, with an accent on embedded systems, firmware, and high-performance computing. Focus on solving complex architecture, scalability, fault-tolerance, and distributed-systems challenges while co-developing AI infrastructure across hardware and software.
Location: On-site in Taipei

What you will do
- Design and optimize software for AI chips and very large AI models.
- Develop systems across the full stack, from low-level drivers and APIs to applications and frameworks.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on frontier AI infrastructure.
- Review code and provide feedback on quality, testability, efficiency, and engineering practices.
- Contribute to AI solutions for natural language processing, reasoning automation, and generative media.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, and/or Python.
- Experience with embedded systems, high-performance computing, or distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture and operating systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience, including data structures and algorithms; experience launching and testing software products, software design and architecture, firmware, and embedded architectures.
- Experience with I/O technologies such as I2C, SPI, PCIe, and DRAM, plus scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency concepts.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical leadership experience directing project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience with Java or Go and resolving customer-related issues.
- Experience solving ambiguous, high-impact problems and strong verbal and written communication skills.
