TL;DR

(Senior) Consultant Energy System Planning (Energy): Developing integrated energy system planning, business analysis, and project management for DSO and TSO clients with an accent on the transition to the New Energy Reality. Focus on long-term grid planning, system integration of power and gas sectors, and shaping energy policies to address costs and CO2 changes.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must have a valid work permit for the Netherlands (unable to provide sponsorship).

What you will do

  • Support DSO and TSO clients in transitioning towards the New Energy Reality through improved generation and distribution.
  • Develop toolkits and strategies for long-term grid planning and system integration of power and gas sectors.
  • Contribute to grid planning decisions focusing on costs, socio-economic welfare, and CO2 reduction.
  • Perform complex business analysis, data analysis, and reporting while managing key stakeholders.
  • Participate in the internal development of the Energy & Utilities practice, including recruitment, strategy, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Educational background in energy systems, sustainable energy technologies, or a similar field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant working experience or a PhD.
  • Strong understanding of DSO and TSO business operations and the role of long-term scenarios in energy policy.
  • Professional proficiency in Dutch (mandatory) and English.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and conceptual skills.
  • Valid work permit for the Netherlands.

Nice to have

  • Fluent German language skills.
  • Prior experience as a consultant for grid operators.
  • Strong interest and ability to build expertise in AI-related topics.
