Data Protection Expert (Legal/Compliance): Supporting oversight and advisory activities to ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data protection obligations with an accent on independent assessment of local and global programs. What you will do

• Support second line oversight activities on data protection programs and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication and awareness across the bank regarding data protection standards.
• Review and challenge Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and maintain records of processing activities.
• Provide support in incident management, including data breach assessments and evaluation of data subjects’ rights requests.
• Perform independent gap analysis and track remediation actions related to data protection and information security.
• Contribute to local training programs to strengthen compliance culture and secure information handling.

Requirements

• Degree in Law or Computer Science.
• Experience of at least 2 to 4 years in data protection, legal, compliance, or computer science.
• Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written).
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Master or equivalent post-university specialization in data protection or computer science.
