What you will do

• Conduct system verification tests for coherent and IMDD DSPs using state-of-the-art optical engines.
• Develop and correlate DSP simulation models for electro-optical components in pluggable modules.
• Provide technical guidance to customers for optimizing optical platforms with hirify.global DSPs.
• Perform experiment-based chip debugging to resolve complex customer issues.
• Expand team capabilities in electro-optical component modeling and offline DSP processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE with 10-15 years of experience OR Master’s/PhD with 5-10 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience with coherent optical or IMDD communication products.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
• Strong knowledge of optical fiber communications including CD, PMD, and PDL.
• Proficiency in signal processing algorithms for optical communications.
• Hands-on lab experience with instrument automation and verification testing.
• Proficiency in Python for technical scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted data analysis for performance and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of Serdes and client-side protocols like Ethernet and ITU.
• Experience with embedded firmware programming and debugging.
• Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
