Social Media Manager (Italian)

Location: 100% remote, work from anywhere. The role requires substantial overlap with the EMEA time zone.

What you will do

• Manage the daily operations of official Italian social media channels across X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.
• Develop, produce, and publish original content that engages existing audiences and attracts new ones.
• Monitor chess community conversations, trends, and creators while representing the brand with a timely and authoritative voice.
• Analyze social media performance and audience insights to improve engagement, reach, and growth.
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and events teams on social media campaigns.
• Respond to community members seeking support and pilot new platforms, formats, and tools.

Requirements

• Fluency in Italian and the ability to adapt content for Italian-speaking communities.
• Proven experience managing social media channels, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or technology.
• Knowledge of chess rules, notation, tournament culture, and key figures.
• Ability to create timely, engaging content including memes and viral videos aligned with internet culture and brand voice.
• Proficiency with basic photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or CapCut.
• Understanding of content strategy, platform algorithms, audience analytics, collaboration, and community communication.
