What you will do
- Challenge advanced language models with synthetic biology workflows and theoretical questions.
- Evaluate responses for factual accuracy, logical soundness, and scientific reasoning.
- Cover topics including gene synthesis, chassis organism optimization, promoter and ribosome binding site tuning, pathway assembly, biosafety, and emerging technologies.
- Document reproducible model failure modes and error traces.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Requirements
- Expertise in synthetic biology, including genetic circuit design, metabolic engineering, genome editing, systems biology, biomanufacturing, or computational modeling.
- PhD in synthetic biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a closely related life-science field is ideal.
- Hands-on experience with synthetic biology techniques or work in industrial or academic bioengineering laboratories.
- Peer-reviewed publications are relevant evidence of subject-matter expertise.
- Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to explain reasoning step by step.
