What you will do

• Converse with AI models on complex lab scenarios and theoretical microbiology questions.
• Verify the factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses.
• Capture and document reproducible error traces to improve model performance.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Apply deep domain expertise in areas like microbial genetics, pathogenesis, and biosafety to harden model reasoning.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Deep expertise in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, parasitology, or mycology.
• Strong understanding of clinical diagnostics, PCR methodologies, and sterile technique protocols.
• Ability to provide clear, metacognitive communication and document scientific reasoning.
• Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet.
• PhD in microbiology or a closely related life-science field is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with peer-reviewed publications.
• Background in wet-lab or field research.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory diagnostics projects.
