Microbiology Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States of America

What you will do

• Challenge advanced language models with laboratory scenarios and theoretical microbiology questions.
• Evaluate factual accuracy, logical soundness, and model reasoning across microbiology topics.
• Document reproducible model failure modes and error traces.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Assess topics including host–pathogen interactions, culture techniques, microbial metabolism, clinical diagnostics, PCR and qPCR, sterile technique, biosafety, and microbiomes.

Requirements

• Expertise in microbiology, including areas such as bacteriology, virology, parasitology, mycology, microbial genetics, antibiotic resistance, and microbial ecology.
• PhD in microbiology or a closely related life-science field is preferred.
• Peer-reviewed publications, wet-lab or field research, or hands-on laboratory diagnostics experience.
• Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to explain reasoning in detail.
• Must be located in the United States of America.
