What you will do
- Design and manage compensation structures tailored to manufacturing job architecture and plant-based roles.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, including shift allowances, overtime, and incentives for large blue-collar populations.
- Drive HR analytics to provide insights on labor cost, productivity, and headcount planning to plant leadership.
- Manage HR systems, ensuring seamless integration between HRIS and manufacturing time-tracking tools.
- Lead and develop payroll and HR reporting teams to ensure operational excellence and audit readiness.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to optimize labor costs and support strategic workforce planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Compensation/Total Rewards, preferably in manufacturing.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or regional HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, payroll compliance, and union frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proven experience managing multi-site operations and large workforce populations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics for workforce cost modeling.
