What you will do

  • Design and manage compensation structures tailored to manufacturing job architecture and plant-based roles.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, including shift allowances, overtime, and incentives for large blue-collar populations.
  • Drive HR analytics to provide insights on labor cost, productivity, and headcount planning to plant leadership.
  • Manage HR systems, ensuring seamless integration between HRIS and manufacturing time-tracking tools.
  • Lead and develop payroll and HR reporting teams to ensure operational excellence and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to optimize labor costs and support strategic workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Compensation/Total Rewards, preferably in manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or regional HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, payroll compliance, and union frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations and large workforce populations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics for workforce cost modeling.
