What you will do

• Monitor and control station systems including steam generation, turbines, and air pollution control equipment.
• Respond to alarms and execute corrective actions, including plant start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Interpret meters, gauges, and computer network data to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Conduct periodic surveillance tests and safety checks on station components.
• Maintain accurate logs and report equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions to supervisors.
• Train other operators on facility systems, operating principles, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s License or higher required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
• Associates Degree or equivalent technical training in power plant operations.
• Ability to read Blueprints, P&IDs, and understand schematic specifications.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be clean-shaven to comply with OSHA respirator safety regulations.
