TL;DR

Software Engineer (FinTech): Build, test, and release product-facing mobile features with an accent on correctness, scalability, and accessible UI. Focus on integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and ensuring production performance, reliability, and correctness while collaborating cross-functionally and mentoring others.

Location: Menlo Park, CA (in-person attendance expected at least three days per week). Telecommuting permitted.

Salary: $161,637 - $195,000 per year

What you will do

  • Build, test, and release product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain user-facing mobile application features using platform-native frameworks and architectures.
  • Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces that meet product, performance, and accessibility requirements.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, backend, and platform engineering to deliver end-to-end mobile features.
  • Integrate mobile apps with backend services, APIs, and data sources; ensure performance, reliability, and correctness in production.
  • Debug, monitor, and resolve mobile issues; refactor and improve existing mobile codebases; participate in code reviews and release processes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus one year of experience in the role or related occupation.
  • Experience with Swift or Kotlin.
  • Experience with Apple SDKs or Android SDKs and mobile UI frameworks.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, state management and navigation frameworks, and unit/UI testing frameworks.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Background checks required.
