What you will do

• Design and lead analyses integrating genetic and molecular data from large-scale epidemiological datasets.
• Develop and implement pipelines for cleaning and integrating complex genetic and molecular phenotype data.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists and international researchers to contribute to large-scale consortia and meta-analyses.
• Draft manuscripts and reports for high-impact scientific publications.
• Contribute to grant applications and the establishment of new research projects.
• Supervise MSc and PhD students and participate in the Centre’s training and outreach programs.

Requirements

• PhD Degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, biostatistics) or expected within 6 months.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods for high-dimensional data, including GWAS, Mendelian Randomization, and co-localisation.
• Proficiency in Python or R for large-scale dataset manipulation.
• Strong quantitative skills and a track record of scientific publications.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in gene expression QTL or protein QTL studies.
• High-level report writing and presentation skills.
