What you will do

• Oversee the entire VFX process from pre-production to final delivery in collaboration with creative leads and producers.
• Supervise VFX breakdowns, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain pipeline efficiency and support artists and TDs in achieving technical and creative objectives.
• Serve as an on-set VFX representative, managing data capture and ensuring on-set decisions align with post-production requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and facilitate clear communication between creative, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Sphere methodologies and high-quality standards for immersive, high-frame-rate content.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a VFX supervisor in high-end production.
• Must be based in Burbank, CA and available for domestic and international travel.
• Deep understanding of immersive media, 360º/180º, and spherical production workflows.
• Proficiency in Nuke and Maya, with knowledge of real-time engines like Unreal, Notch, or TouchDesigner.
• Thorough knowledge of the entire filmmaking process, including pre-production, live-action photography, and post-production.
• Experience with previsualization, photogrammetry, and virtual production techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience with Baselight and Resolve.
• Knowledge of ACES color management.
• Background in large-format or AR/VR content creation.
