What you will do
- Coach, mentor, and grow a team of mid-to-senior level engineers.
- Collaborate with technical leads to solve complex performance challenges and guide architectural decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers to contribute to the product roadmap and align seasonal goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and advocate for engineering needs across the group.
- Drive the delivery of large, cross-team initiatives from ideation to completion.
Requirements
- Previous experience in technical people leadership or mentorship of engineers.
- Commercial experience in software development, ideally building frameworks, libraries, or APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down large projects into actionable tasks.
- Effective communication skills and experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model within Australia.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Canva frontend stack: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.
