What you will do

• Design and improve large-scale production systems to ensure high reliability and scalability.
• Partner with various teams to identify and resolve systemic issues like performance bottlenecks and cascading failures.
• Lead investigations into production incidents and implement concrete, sustainable improvements.
• Mentor engineers and help strengthen engineering practices across the organization.
• Build shared platform capabilities and libraries to help improvements scale across services.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between reliability, performance, and product velocity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building large-scale, production-facing systems.
• Strong backend engineering experience with Java, Python, or Golang.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed production environments.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and contributing to system architecture.
• Disciplined coding practices including code reviews and testing.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and communicate complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservice architectures in AWS.
• Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, logs, tracing).
• Experience contributing to shared platforms or internal tooling.
• Knowledge of data platforms like Snowflake or Looker.
