What you will do

• Oversee payroll operations across designated entities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Coordinate and prioritize the EU Payroll team’s daily activities to meet critical deadlines.
• Act as an operational partner to local and regional teams, providing guidance on payroll matters.
• Resolve complex payroll cases, including off-cycle payments, terminations, and audits.
• Maintain relationships with external payroll providers and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax departments.
• Support ongoing payroll transformation projects while maintaining operational continuity.

Requirements

• Strong payroll experience, ideally within a multinational or European environment.
• Fluent English is essential for the role.
• Solid understanding of labour law, payroll legislation, and tax regulations in Portugal or other European countries.
• Proven experience in coordinating operational activities and supporting teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Delivery-focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience in interim assignments, payroll transitions, or regional payroll support.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
