What you will do

• Author institutional-grade research memos and white papers on emerging real estate trends.
• Monitor and interpret publicly traded REIT performance, earnings calls, and market narratives.
• Maintain and enhance the team’s NAV and Cap Rate valuation models.
• Synthesize siloed local datasets into differentiated, sub-market level insights.
• Utilize AI, Python, and SQL to clean, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
• Partner with product and data teams to develop new research-driven solutions.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in financial journalism, equity research, or real estate investment analysis.
• Deep expertise in publicly traded REITs or private real estate investing.
• Strong command of valuation frameworks including DCF, NAV, cap rates, FFO, and EPRA metrics.
• Proven track record of producing original, investment-oriented written research.
• Proficiency in Excel and institutional data platforms.
• Clear, confident communication skills for presenting to senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with major real estate data providers like S&P Capital IQ Pro, CoStar, or Green Street.
• Technical skills in SQL or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools in research workflows.
• CFA, CPA, or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate.
