What you will do

• Lead and coach three Team Engineering Leads to foster an inclusive and psychologically safe engineering culture.
• Define and drive the strategy for Developer Workflows across frontend, backend, and platform engineering.
• Partner with Product Managers and engineering leaders to improve the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Translate developer pain points into improvements for CI/CD, testing frameworks, and developer environments.
• Champion developer satisfaction as a key metric and drive initiatives to increase engineering velocity.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the subgroup.

Requirements

• Must be based in Melbourne or willing to work from the Melbourne campus.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical leaders in platform, infrastructure, or tooling environments.
• Strong empathy for engineers and a focus on creating high-quality developer environments.
• Experience using data and metrics to prioritize work and measure impact in complex technical environments.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, monorepo tooling, or IDE ecosystems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and align stakeholders across multiple teams.
