Mobile Developer (React Native)

Location: Remote role based in Canada, with preferred work locations in Toronto or Ottawa, Ontario

What you will do

• Build and ship React Native features for iOS and Android applications used in real clinical environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to deliver production-ready mobile experiences.
• Participate in technical design discussions and propose maintainable feature-level solutions.
• Write well-tested, secure code and contribute to code reviews, shared components, and coding standards.
• Investigate performance issues, crashes, and reliability gaps in production applications.
• Contribute to the mobile CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, Bitrise, and Fastlane, including build, testing, and release workflows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and shipping React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong TypeScript skills with a disciplined approach to type safety and code quality.
• Solid understanding of iOS and Android platform fundamentals and cross-platform constraints.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests, with a strong focus on reliability.
• Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes.
• Clear, proactive communication and the ability to break down moderately complex problems, estimate work, and surface blockers.

Nice to have

• Native development experience with Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience with shared component libraries, design systems, or monorepos such as Nx or Turborepo.
• Familiarity with mobile performance monitoring or crash reporting tools.
