What you will do

• Challenge language models with real-world laboratory scenarios and theoretical microbiology questions.
• Evaluate responses about isolating bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic pathogens from clinical and environmental samples.
• Assess topics including selective and differential plating, colony morphology, Gram staining, hemolysis, anaerobic culturing, and contamination control.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness, documenting reproducible error traces and failure modes.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and model evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• Expertise in pathogen isolation, microbial culture techniques, enrichment and selective media, aseptic and sterile protocols, biosafety, clinical microbiology, and diagnostic workflows.
• Hands-on pathogen-isolation experience in clinical, research, or public health laboratories.
• Knowledge of biosafety levels BSL-1 through BSL-4.
• Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to explain reasoning in detail.
• Secure computer and high-speed internet for remote contract work.

Nice to have

• PhD in microbiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or a closely related life-science field.
